[NSRCA-discussion] Election

Vince,
Yes, In the past issues and recently on this topic I decided to take further comments offline as the discussion became circular. I didn't copy DVPs on this issue, but did copy mine with the communication to the Executive BoD.
Short version. Only one BoD member has engaged me with any communication and that is Joe. This would be proper for him to be the one respond on behalf of the BoD. My view hasn't changed even after the facts are discussed. Reach out to Joe or me offline to discuss further.
That's a big assumption Vince, but it is a D5 concern. I have no comment for that.

Have you pass those thoughts and discussions in writing to the BoD?  I haven’t seen a single one directly to me by any NSRCA member in regard this the election process (D5) so I assume all in D5 agree with the election process as it is.

Not one time. However, I have discussed my thoughts with members of the BoD. On this topic and previously regarding the two previous times.
Does that somehow discredit me?
Reviewing responses to the Discussion group from the BoD and forming an opinion based on facts. Does that make me some how inferior as a member? I don't believe it does.
I understand the question. I don't agree with what it implies.
Simple enough?

Larry,
How many times have you been part of the NSRCA BoD?  Just curious and to keep it simple.

Nice John... Did you get the Dossier?
On a serious note. For me it isn't about the election. If that is all you get out of this, you aren't listening to the issues. It is about transparency and ethics from this Leadership team.
I am of the opinion this group of BoD has lost site of that from the beginning. This isn't the first time the BoD has used this type of decision making to push an agenda, meaning do it their way regardless of By-Laws, Procedures, etc. The result of the prevous two issues disenfranchised good people and in my opinion disrespected them. Is that what you want out of our leadership? Unchecked and unbalanced?
For me it's that simple.
If decisions keep getting made using this meathodology, the number of members we have will not be enough to support and sustain a SIG.
If you are ok with that, certainly your peragitive. I'm not ok with it and that is my peragitive.

Subject: Re: [NSRCA-discussion] Election This is a discussion group that is an open forum. It is open for differing opinions so that all can express thoughts good and not so good. In agreement or opposing.  What you are promoting is censoring thoughts and views. Impeding 1st amendment rights for Freedom of Speach. Are we so afraid that we must put up a phony image to attract new pilots by suppressing disagreements? I hate to think where that will take us. I believe conflict can be good. Discussions that have been stated on both points of view is not that alarming. I will also submit that this forum will not be the reason people join and stay. It's more about what becomes of the discussions like this that determines the health of pattern. Nobody, that I have read, is looking at a formal grievance process, this thought is rediculous. If a grievance was to be filed, it would need to be with the AMA because the concern being raised is regarding the BoD decisions. I dont think that is the way to go either as I doubt the AMA is interested in overseeing a SIG. And your right, this discussion has ran its course. LD    Sent via the Samsung Galaxy S® 6, an AT&T 4G LTE smartphone -------- Original message --------From: Rick Sweeney <rixsweeney at gmail.com> Date: 12/29/18 7:20 PM (GMT-06:00) To: Terrence Walker <tewalker10 at yahoo.com>, General pattern discussion <nsrca-discussion at lists.nsrca.org>, 'Larry Diamond' <ldiamond at diamondrc.com>, "Dr. Mike Harrison" <drmikedds at sbcglobal.net> Subject: RE: [NSRCA-discussion] Election  This list should be delegated to promoting pattern, provide positive reinforcement for improvement , help and assist our volunteer’s and show some integrity. Broadcasting grievances against the NSRCA or inserting personal attacks in your missive’s should not be tolerated no matter how right you think you are. We would be better off just shutting this list down than let it continue. I find it disheartening, imagine how a new member who joins the list to gain knowledge and discuss Aerobatics interprets it.   If you have a grievance, and it means that much to you, privately cultivate a constituency to plead your case and take it up with your DVP. If your getting no response move it up the chain of command until you do. If your case holds water, the BOD can determine a course of action and correction.  For 2019 lets show some respect and provide some dignity to the volunteers that help run this show as they certainly deserve it.  SincerelyRick Sweeney         Sent from Mail for Windows 10 From: NSRCA-discussion <nsrca-discussion-bounces at lists.nsrca.org> on behalf of Terrence Walker via NSRCA-discussion <nsrca-discussion at lists.nsrca.org>

I wonder what someone from outside the NSRCA would think of all the rhetoric than has transpired on this list.  Terrence Walker (no relation to Joe Walker). On ‎Saturday‎, ‎December‎ ‎29‎, ‎2018‎ ‎07‎:‎01‎:‎39‎ ‎AM‎ ‎PST, Dr. Mike Harrison via NSRCA-discussion <nsrca-discussion at lists.nsrca.org> wrote:   This is all really pitiful.  Regardless the mistakes or the consequences, all of these board members, volunteers, helpers, etc. typically do this at their expense of time, money , effort, etc.  they don’t have to help, they normally are just giving back so that whatever activity can even exist.  Do they make mistakes, of course, lots of them, but they deserve consideration, real respect, and kind responses.  Otherwise they go away and the end result is an even worse outcome.  I have done my share of volunteering and helping.  I have received more than my share of unwarranted abuse from those of differing opinions.  It is offensive and oft times without substantial cause.   I want to make clear that the vast majority of the membership do appreciate and benefit greatly from the work and effort that the board or any other volunteer puts forth to make what we have possible.  This could have all been handled better.  We will just lose more that are willing to help because of this mess.   I want to thank all of you that serve to make our pastime possible. I will probably go off the list. To me it is just negative.
