I might be doing SPA right now if the rules weren’t so messed up. No retracts or pipes, but you may use .90 cu in+ 4-strokes! Many of the Daddy Rabbit, Intruder and Dirty Birdy airplanes have dimensions that are in excess of the allowable discrepancies from the original models, particularly the fuselage length. A friend had a Curare and a Super Curare, but only the Curare was acceptable and the only real difference was in the canopy area. Go figure.
I walked away from the SPA more than 20 years ago, but, even with the messed up rules, I might go back.
