I agree.
The judges do need to be considered here. A slightly longer break to
relax between flights would be good. I appreciate that break when
judging FAI.
A time saver is to give the judges scoresheets for the entire class.
Handing out the sheets takes time plus there is the occasional pilot
whose sheets are lost, forgotten or in the pits. No help at the Nats
where this is already done but a help at local contests.
Time savings would occur if pilots did not have their planes walked back
forever so the T/O is on the centerline for max score. Safety would be
enhanced as the downwind flightline T/O would not be as likely to be at
head height well inside the centerline as they went past you. I flinch
every time it happens.
