[NSRCA-discussion] Futaba BLS173SV centering problem

I would reduce the deadband and see if that helps. I run about 20. Are these servos OK for the ailerons. Enough power?

Subject: [NSRCA-discussion] Futaba BLS173SV centering problem

Guys,

I'm new to Futaba programable servos. Have new BLS173SV on ailerons and have a bit of "slop" in the servo output. I'm confident that the majority of the slop is in the servo, not the linkage.

Should I need to replace gears after only a couple hundred flights? Hard to tell, but seems like there is too much slop with power off, so adjusting settings may not be the answer. Can't find the gearset on Futaba or Tower website anyway. Anybody know the part number and how/where to order?

I was going to try reducing the deadband from .36 to .20.

Recommendations on programable parameter settings improve centering?

Thanks, Dan
