OK I've gotten pretty good response, here's the first pitch-


Indoor pattern contest in Burke, VA proposed for 12th or 19th of November. The 12th could be compelling since the 11th is Veterans day for those who are veterans, me included.  Hang out in the DC area and maybe check out Arlington or Udvar Hazy while in the area the day before.  I've got some room for folks to stay at my place.  The more that participate, the more time I can reserve at the facility.

If there is interest, we will do an on-line building video.  These indoor pattern planes look complicated to build, and can be, but with balsa construction there are techniques that are both relatively simple and inexpensive.
