Minus the pilot/plane pic, that's what I did for the latest SPA event in Knoxville, TN. Used a pic of our field sign and a place ribbon from AMA in the middle. Contest name/date at top, and class on left, SPA spelled out on right, AMA wings sticker at bottom. Will try to post pic later today. I didn't want to miss our banquet Saturday evening, so didn't want pics taken @ contest.

In D4 the most common awards for local contests is a framed certificate with a photo of the pilot and airplane, taken on practice day or the morning of the first contest day. Somebody runs the SD card to Walmart or someplace to get prints Saturday evening. Certificates designed and printed on your home computer, dollar store frames. 
Cheap, event-specific and easy to store if you have a lot of them.
