Many of you know that I have been converting computer server power supplies for years. These are power supplies intended for servers that have been discontinued, making the power supplies surplus. Server power supplies are ideal for use in charging our big battery packs, because their output is rock stable and they can deliver very high amperages.
The server power supplies I have been converting lately are the HP DPS 600pb (49 amps @ 12 volts) and HP DPS 1200fb (75 amps @ 12 volts). I plan to bring some of both power supplies to the Nats.
It would be helpful to know how many pilots would like me to bring one or more of them to the Nats for them, so if you’d like one/more of either the HP DPS 600pb or the HP DPS 1200fb converted power supplies to the Nats, please contact me offline.
I also plan to bring a few other modeling items to the Nats. Once again, please contact me offline, if you have a special request.
