Dear Anthony, thank you very much for reaching out and the clarifications. Your leadership has saved the day where I have failed my D1 fellows badly.

Dear fellow D1 members, please accept my apology for any misunderstandings caused by my communications to you yesterday. Apparently I misunderstood Andy’s intent and spoke out of turn. Thanks to Anthony’s timely interventions, we now have a clear understanding of the contest format and I am delighted to see it is much as was originally envisioned as a follow-on contest to Pocono. While I strongly disagree with the LV’s plan to include Classic, and was saddened to see it returned to the agenda after we had all agreed to let it go due to it not being of interest to most contestants; I will now let this objection go and put that difference behind us to work together towards a terrific contest weekend for all of you. This is my main concern. We all invest precious leisure time and monies in our contest weekends and I will do everything I can to make this contest worth your while to travel to.

Thank you in advance for your consideration of my apology. If Andy accepts it, I will be pleased to support him as CD and resume our collaboration apace to make the contest happen as Anthony has described it below.

Respectfully submitted,
Dana Beaton

Some competitors had expressed interest in Classic Pattern but that will only take place if time allows and the primary focus will be on the current classes. The club has trained a number of judges as alternates but contestants will be the main source of judges for the event.
