Guys:
Attached is the flyer for our new contest this August 6-7 at the Chula Vista Model RC Club field in Chula Vista, CA.   For those of you old timers out there, the Chula Vista name may bring up some fond memories of contests in the past.  However, this is not the same field - it is close, maybe a ¼ mile away, but it is a different field.  And it does have a little challenge to it.  There are power lines at the approach end of the runway about 150m out.  It does make you alter the normal landing approach, but is very doable for all you skilled pattern pilots.  But if you have any questions, by all means give me a call, my number is below.  This should be a great event - weather should be very nice - probably in the 70-80's with little sun issues.  Lunch will be available for $5 - provided by the club, and they are very excited about hosting this event.  We would like to make a great impression on those club guys so we can make this an annual event, so lets all be on our usual best Pattern behavior and show what a classy group we are.  We will be utilizing Peter's scoring system, and we still need a few more people to get training on setting up the system and running it for a contest, so let me know if you would like to be involved and I will set that up for you.  Looking forward to seeing everyone - we have had some problems with turnout at our last couple of contests here in the south, so lets all get out there and support Pattern again and have a great time in Chula Vista.
