[NSRCA-discussion] Cobra rolls

Exactly.
A roll is a roll.
A loop is a loop.
A square loop with half rollS has multiple rollS just like a top hat with half rollS.
Changing the name of the maneuver would make it consistent other maneuvers and, consistent with the maneuver description.

Dave

It's been called that for 30+ years. Eliminating "Roll" in the description makes works for me.From - Cobra Roll, 4 of 8 point rolls on 45 degree lines (U):To - Cobra, with 4 of 8 point rolls on 45 degree lines (U):Jim From: NSRCA-discussion [mailto:nsrca-discussion-bounces at lists.nsrca.org] On Behalf Of Don Ramsey via NSRCA-discussion

Subject: Re: [NSRCA-discussion] Cobra rolls BTW, why is Masters maneuver 17 call a “Cobra Roll” anyway?  It has nothing to do with a roll.  A better name might be “Cobra”.  From: NSRCA-discussion [mailto:nsrca-discussion-bounces at lists.nsrca.org] On Behalf Of DaveL322 via NSRCA-discussion

Subject: Re: [NSRCA-discussion] Cobra rolls "Loop" equals 360 degrees.  Would not "roll" also equal 360 degrees? In AMA, 2 point roll, 4 point roll, and 8 point roll all convey a full rotation with no change in direction.  Unless AMA adopts the FAI style of describing rolls, it seems a roll should be a roll? Regards, Dave Please pardon any spelling errors or brevity.....Sent on a Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note® 3

Just looked at the maneuver description, and it doesn't specify roll direction.
