In the maneuver descriptions any number of points of a full roll are called rolls, as in 2 of 4 point roll. So, in AMA a roll seems to be any number of degrees of a full 360 degree roll.

"Loop" equals 360 degrees. Would not "roll" also equal 360 degrees?
In AMA, 2 point roll, 4 point roll, and 8 point roll all convey a full rotation with no change in direction.
Unless AMA adopts the FAI style of describing rolls, it seems a roll should be a roll?
