[NSRCA-discussion] Servo connector crimping tool?

There's an advantage to buying pins from Hansen Hobby. They have a little fixture that they use to cleanly remove the pins from the metal roll that they are attached to when bought in bulk quantities. This assures that there's no burr of metal at the detach point that can otherwise make for a difficult fit of the pin into the plastic housing.

Unless you do it regularly, you can expect to mess up more than a few crimps as you relearn how to do it each time. Practice is key, and buy a lot more pins than what you think you will need. The pins are small, easily bent, and hard to line up properly in the tool. I've used both a cheap tool, and a "high quality" tool with little difference in the results.
