I’m really hoping the AMA decides to challenge this in the courts. I’ll register, but damn this is stupid policy.

They’ll toss you into the same cell block of federal prison where they house all of the mattress tag violators . . . .

And who is going to enforce this rule?
The only people registering will be AMA members.
People buying them out of the stores that are not AMA members will not even hear about registering these models.
Once again our fine government agencies have proved they have their collective heads up their asses.
My feeling is if you are a AMA member your name can already be brought up, with your address. So why do we have to register with the FAA they can already find out our information.
The people that are not AMA members, Guess what the FAA will not be able to find any info on them. This is not helping anyone with any solution what so ever.

Well, here it is boys and girls. It's official and starts next Monday. The link is for the FAQ's of what's happening.

You only have to register once and you don't have to individually register all of your models.
You must be able to provide proof of registration and have it on you when flying.
You must have your Registration # (not going to be a N number) in your airplane where it is legible and accessible without the use of tools (aka under your canopy).
If you sell a model, you should update your records. (I don't completely understand this if we aren't registering all of our models individually but, OK)
Registration is $5 but you'll get that back if you register in the first 30 days, I believe.

Have a look at the link and prepare to be upset.....
