Could have been 5049 every prior flight.
Weight can increase in humid conditions...especially if flying in the rain.
Wood and foam tires can absorb a lot of water.

There is a whole procedure they have to go thru if they initially fail, including using a second scale. That could take time. Let's hope he ultimately is OK.  Kind of weird that now he would fail, this late in the game.
