[NSRCA-discussion] Wiring up adapters for a Cellpro 10XP

I have the Turnigy 10XC (CellPro clone?) and didn’t like the bulky balancing boards either. I cut the board in half and saved the half with the JST-XH balancing connector. Then I harvested the balancing connector that plugs into the charger balance port from the unused balancing board. I cut the end off a 5S JST-XH balance extension and soldered the leads as shown in the Revolectrix wiring diagram. I have two of the Turnigy 10XC chargers, so I had to do a lot of soldering to make four balancing pigtails, but it was worth it.

I gave away all but one of the balancing boards I had left, but saved one for charging less than 5S battery packs.

BTW, You can no longer charge a 6S pack with this setup, but I don’t anyway.

I also have male JST-XH plugs for the other end, for balancing/charging my 5S packs (6 pin). As far as I can tell from the CellPro manual, in this particular instance the JST-PA and JST-XH wiring pin to pin are exactly the same. While the charger firmware allows for ‘native’ JST-XH wiring, this would only be required for less than 5S.
