My earlier experiences with HobbyKing's problem resolution services were just as you described.
Now, whenever I have a problem with HobbyKing, I go to an online chat and have my problem taken care of online. Be prepared with the order number, PayPal confirmation, transaction number and so on.

Unfortunately when I ordered I used PayPal and Hobby King was paid. Hobby King acknowledged the cancellation of the order but has not refunded my $183. I have filed a complaint with PayPal and have emailed Hobby King at least 4 times but they ignore me. I am pretty sure I will eventually get my money back but buyer beware. Your mileage may differ.
