Mike,
I usually do a low current (about 250mah) parallel charging with another pack that has about 70% charge left over. I don't connect balance connector. Stop the charger a few times to check the voltage of the low voltage pack.
Bunch of car/truck guys do that especially to 0 volt packs.

Subject: [NSRCA-discussion] Help!!! Lipo recovery advise requested
I have a brand new test pack that I gave to my best friend aptly named "Puff Daddy" who tests for us. He's a great resource because he beats the living crude out of Lipo's so you can feel assured that your doing well if PD is succesful with them.
We'll PD did himself very proud last week and discharged the 2 packs on the first attempt to 0 voltage. Opps he got distracted.
So how can I get some voltage into the packs so the charger can attempt to recover them? I know it's not going to be a text book operation but I'm willing to roll some dice to see if there is a way. One guy suggested using a nicad charger to pump in some juice.
At this point barring an exposion risk I have little to lose.
So any suggestions? TIA, Mike
