Thunderpower recommends allowing lipos to cool to ambient before charging.

Puff is OK. Check the latest MA. There is no way that current, going through a restive device (battery) is going to cool – it is going to heat!

Because they’re in the business of selling batteries?
I’ve seen batteries puff that were put on the charger hot. Warm is okay, like 100 degrees or less.

FMA recommends putting your hot batteries right on the charger. . . I've also read elsewhere that charging actually cools your batteries . . .

I use the blower motor from an old holiday inflatable to cool my batteries and motor on those hot dawg days of summer.
Mike,
50 supine presses, 50 sumo squats, and 50 alternating lunges with vertical press will help you get your swole on in no time! Be careful not to bend the sticks on your TX with your new muscles!

I was hoping for more creative replies.... You know, like:
1) Official starter motor power station for sport flying glow fliers.
2) Power winch station for glider pilots
3) Chevy Volt charging station

Actually, a small fan to force cool batteries after a flight would at least be a useful way to use the energy.

OK, I did not (yet) buy a Honda or Yamaha generator. I picked up one from the neighbors friend for $75, so I figured I would give it a whirl. I did test run it last year and it was relatively quite and not too heavy. I figured if I keep lifting it, I might get as buff and Anthony Abdullah.
Anyway, I hooked up the power supply/chargers to it and nothing. I tried my old Triton 2, nothing. Maybe the output is not stable enough. I read the directions again and it says for low load (250W or less), try moving the lever half way to the choke position. Nothing. I figured, what the hell, hooked up a drill to it. Power! OK, so now I hook up the Triton 2 and the drill and run the drill. Power to the charger! Seems without sufficient load being called for, the generator does not put out. I am not electrically inclined, but is there something I can do to at least use the generator until I find a good deal on a Honda? Having me stand there with a drill the whole time I am charging does not sound appealing.
