I'm looking for a used pattern plane. It's been about 10 years since my
last contest, and I want to give these old fingers another chance. I'm
looking for a fixed gear 2m design, and plan to do an electric setup. I can convert a methanol burner if necessary. I live in Nashville,tn., avoiding shipping would be good. Please reply off line to: ronclark at tds.net

Thanks...Ron

I do have one of those for some smaller batteries, but talking with a NRA member here at work about getting the larger rifle ammo cans, he believes they are now aluminum. If that is the case, they won't last long if there was a fire.

I have been toying with the idea of lining a large ammo box with ceramic tile. Maybe one day I will get a chance to try it out.

Make sure there is an opening vent the hot gases as the LiPo is burning or else you will have just created a bum.

Anything conductive presents the possibility of a short, a sure way to get a lipo excited. While not portable, for in shop charging and/or storage I use a "bunker" that consists of large ceramic floor tile top & bottom with brick "walls". The bricks are attached to the base with velcro (could be glued), the top tiles are held in place by gravity and are pretty heavy, but can be weighted further if one feels the need. Plenty of "leakage" to exhaust smoke / gasses.
