I believe he was thinking it was from the bottom after an immelman, which would put you at the top of the box.  That would put you up very high.

It is an 8 sided outside loop from the top.  No taller than if it was an inside from the bottom.  Guess I don't understand the issue.

Just a fast first look at the newly proposed Advanced sequence it seems 
to me that the downwind 8-sided loop is going to be very tall since it 
follows an Immelman Turn and precedes a 1/2-outside loop. The top of 
that loop could be way up in the sky. Harder to judge properly.
