Vexa Control makes two units, the $75 ServoXciter which offers many servo
(and receiver) testing capabilities (I use this at the field) and the $25
ServoXciter Jr. which will get the centering job done and run a few other
tests.

Jr MatchMaker will center the servos. It has two ports one for centering
the servos. you just put the dial in the middle. The other two ports are for
checking servos the dial controls the speed. I got this idea from Troy
Newman. The matchmaker also works well for checking pots as you can set the
speed to slow and look for any dead spots or chattering.

I don't think that's what he meant.

Does anyone use a simple servo centering device when installing servo's
short of hooking up the Tx and Rx? I know there's a variety of servo
testers that will center the servo, just looking for the best/least expensive
setup. Any suggestions? I'm always scrambling to find a battery/regulator/Rx
and then bind it and set it up just to center a servo.

thanks!
