I haven't noticed the gear being brittle, maybe you had some from a bad batch of epoxy or something, or maybe the ones I used on George's plane were just good epoxy by accident, who knows.
Anyway they maybe about the only way to go now days, specs on them below
Width 4-1/2"
Total Height 9"
Total Spread 19"
Weight is 5.0oz (142g)
The gear is 1-1/2" wide at the fuse (front to back)
tappering down to 7/8" at the axle.
This gear has 1-1/4" Rear Sweep

Bob, I think F3A unlimited carries the gear that replaced the Bolly stuff, and its better and I believe a couple of inches longer than your present gear.

I'm converting my Abbra from YS 160 power to electric, and since the landing
gear I have is barely long enough for an 18" prop, there's no way it's going
to work for at 21" prop. Does anyone have a set of gear for that plane that
they'd part with?
Thanks,
Bob
