[NSRCA-discussion] D4 Contests - FAI Schedule??

I tend to agree with Verne. If anything, F-13 is a more flyable pattern than F-11. Harder, but less crazy. More of a flyer's pattern and more suitable to a variety of setup's rather than having to have a plane that has the best snap.

Of course...I haven't tried to fly it yet :)

That’s what was being said when P11 was first announced with the integrated roll in the Figure M. It never happened.

Maneuvers have a funny way of either being easier than they look on paper or harder than they look on paper.

I’d be surprised to see any significant exodus from FAI.

I have uploaded the powerpoints to www.7d7-technologies.com/NSRCA

Y'all can download them from there if you want them. They are Power Points. You can still view these by getting the free Power Point viewer fromhttp://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=6

We flew P-13 last weekend at Pattern in Paradise in Westmoreland, NY.
We had a brief stick plane demo for the judges and a judging assistant to help the judges with maneuver names.
The 4 FAI pilots all flew well and we all enjoyed seeing the new sequence.
You are correct P-11 is out of date.

Once again, Mark, sorry about your Spark.

Hey D4 FAI flyers... What schedule do we want to fly this weekend at St. Clairesville and for the rest of the year?

I have yet to fly P-13 (I've yet to fly ANYthing since my Spark's demise at the Nats) but would prefer to fly P-13 for the rest of the year than to work on P-11/F-11 since those are now dead patterns. Thoughts? My suggestion would be to fly only P-13 (i.e. Not try to fly F-13 yet) for the remaining 3 contests. Yeah, it would be a little bit of an unknown for us all, but should be fun and much better preparation for next year.

Looking for feedback! We have a contest this weekend...so how should it be run?
