Mine was definitely a timing issue... I got the screech and everything! Only happened close to the end of a flight on a long upline, near
the top. I associated it with heat at first, but that definitely was not the case. I would think that any time you get a glitch in commands
to an esc, you are more than likely to get a timing issue, at least momentarily. The ferrite ring solved the problem.... You are correct, it
was on 72 mhz. I have always just left the ring on the system.

Rex / Stuart,
Early on, there were quite a few setups that suffered throttle glitches (intermittent brief power drops), but generally there was not a funny noise associated with it. Some of these were cured by various ferrite rings, chokes, re-orienting RX and wiring, etc……but all of this was with 72 mhz radio. I’ve not seen this type of problem with the 2.4 ghz radios.
The problem Stuart is describing sounds different to me – because it has the funny noise with it. I’d be more suspect of bad connector, bad solder joint, fracturing wire, etc. If we were coming out of the spring into the summer, I’d suspect increased power from the batteries might be the culprit.
Regards,
Dave

Stuart
Are you running any sort of choke or ferrite ring on the receiver wire to the esc? Several of us had this problem early on...not just
with that combo. This cured all the woes. Mine would either start to shut down or do a herky jerky hesitation thing...and start chirping
like you are talking about. Like you, I'd throttle down a tad bit then back up and all would be well. After I installed the ferrite ring, no
problems for the last 5 seasons.
Just so you know, I'm using the EVO and Schulze 32-80ka... before that it was a 30-10 std and 32-55ka....and a 30-10 std with CC hv85.
All did the same thing. All were cured the same way. The only combo I had no problems with was the 30-10 std with the Jeti 77 adv.
