The heavy "IN" crosswind explains why the best pilots in the country were getting zeroes left, right and center.
F and Unknowns schedules were scored lower than usual

I’m surprised that the F pattern numbers were so high, but my recollection of judging the unknown that round was that it was VERY challenging with the strong crosswind blowing in and it made for more variance between the pilots than we usually see in the finals.   That has to help in the placement percentages…  Not sure what it means for the judging score though.   Glad we did well though.  It’s always a little nerve wracking judging the finals.

When I first saw those scores, I thought I miscalculated. In both cases Placement was 1000; they got each pilot placed exactly correct. The Scoring Factor was also very high, in the 960s.

 

I didn't think it was possible to get scores that high considering the variables Judges contend with. But judging from those rounds, it looks that anything is possible. I agree, exceptional rounds both
