These studs already exist in wings--the round ones are just easier to work with. The 8mm are about the same dia. as 5/16ths threaded bolts but metric. The Impact nuts were a nice size and weight--I suppose I have an 8mm tap laying around somewhere that I could possibly tap those out with....hmmmm..

FWIW, the Comp Arf Intrgral metric wing nuts make nice ¼ X 20 wing nuts by just running a ¼ X 20 tap through them.

I'd like to change out some wing nuts for a round type--where is a good source for light ones. Are the CompARF units that size and available? Jason? I'd like to get about (10)
Thanks,
Richard
