Don has alot of good articles on his site.  The "Max Points in Sportsman" article is really good.  Also if you look in the Building/Flying/Engine techniques section there are some other nice items that may be of interest to a beginner.

I have been asked of I could submit a beginers pattern article for the club news letter and web site. Since I am not any kind of writer is there a good source for such an article?
