I talked to Mike last night and he sounded in good spirits. He said
he is more sore than he has ever been, but the morphine is helping
with that. He's hoping to get out of the hospital this weekend and
then he'll just have to take it easy for 3-4 weeks. Everything with
the surgery went well and there should be no risidual effects of what
caused the issue with the kidney to start with.

Glad your surgery went well and get well soon. Hope the recovery is
not too difficult.

Just a short note to everyone to let you know that one of our fellow
pattern flyers,
Mike Wingo, today underwent surgery to remove a kidney in
Birmingham, Alabama.
Just got off the phone with Mike amazingly only three hours after
such a major
surgery. He states long as he has the Morphine pump all is well...He
said doctors
said surgery went fine and was expected to be in hospital 3-5
days...Lets all
keep Mike and family in our thoughts and prayers.....Doug
Harvel.....
