Agree Dave
As in any competition you have to know your equipment ,keep up with maintenance ,and have backups.
I saw many smoked batteries,and burnt speed controllers at the Nats ,,as well as flame outs from the YS Engines.
Competition is supposed to be rough on equipment .I know of plenty Neu motors that have spun.or burnt and took forever to be repaired or replaced and upgrades continue as in any competition engine.
But I will agree if you are new to the sport .or not very handy ,,Electric my give you an easier time in competition
