But they are Very Cool tools. Once you use one you'll not want to be without it.
We just have tofigure out how to use them in modeling :-)
Next time I have much carving/sanding to do I may give it a try.

I didn't suggest that this was the one to use in a fuse, just the way it cuts would make a lot of sense for modelers.

IMHO ..... this is not going to fit in a fuselage.

Harbor Freight has a generic one "similar" to the $399 Fein Multimaster for
only $39.99
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=67256

I have one - it is NOT a Fein but it costs $40 NOT $400 <VBG>

Also Sears has a copy for $99 that's 12v (cordless) This I haven't tried .

As Stuart said they are very cool tools. But large to get inside a fuse.
I expanded a closet into a spare bedroom and cut the crown molding to fit
without taking it down! With the Harbor Freight one.

The "new" tool in woodworking is a vibrating multi use tool (not that
use) Cuts, sands etc. Here is Fein's version
http://www.fein.de/fein-multimaster/us/en/main/
The cutting part is cool. Just hold the saw edge to the area to cut and
it plunges in. No reciprocating saw blades or rotary wheels to make the
tool go flying. Works like a cast saw that your orthopedist would use.

I am really surprised that a maker of power tools for modelers hasn't
put one on the market already.

That one looks much smaller. But being a veterinary product the
price may be high.
Let us know what you find out.

That looks promising. Thanks, I'll look into it. Jerry Voth sent
me this url: http://www.slocumenterprises.com/Products/electric_saw.htm

They have 110 volt AC and battery powered versions. I e-mailed them
for purchasing information.

I've been having some problems doing some sawing work in some close
quarters lately, particularly inside fuselages. Manual saws leave a
lot to be desired and you can't do a very good job, unless you have
more dexterity and skill than I've been able to muster.

It would be great if there was a powered axial oscillating saw that
was no bigger in diameter and length than a Dremel Tool, preferably
smaller and shorter. Does such a tool exist, or did I just invent
the idea?
