To add to that, I would no longer be "afraid" of metal gear servos. The tolerances have gotten much much tighter to where the "slop" factor is no long of concern. Just my opinion, but I think the Nylon only approach has past it's day.
I'd also be remiss not to suggest you look at Airtronics servos if you're looking at all brands. They have an entire new line of affordable digitals to choose from, as well as the high end line of digitals.

Here are the list of JR servos the were popular so far.
Ailerons : DS9411
Dual Elevator servos : DS3421
Single Elevator servo : DS8231 (plastic gear). DS8417 has been discontinued.
Rudder : DS8611
All the above are metal gears. JR has discontinued all SA servos. If you need plastic/resin geared servos, you will need JRPSG321 and JRPSG911 to convert them to metal output with plastic gears.
You can also substitute DS8611 with DS8411 which can use JRPSG8101 to make it 8411SA.
