[NSRCA-discussion] Spongy Epoxy . . .

Sometimes guys will think that mixing a higher ratio of catalyst will make the resultant
cure harder, but it has the opposite effect. Use care in the mix and make sure to not mix in a
waxed paper cup as this will produce the same effect.
Good luck,
G.

I've tried that . . . I even microwaved the left-overs. It is the consistency of tire rubber, so hopefully it will just peel right out . . .

You can try heat....put it in a hot car, warm oven, or wherever you can in an elevated temp environment for a while (several hours...) and see if it hardens...no harm in trying...

Keith, it may be better to err on the side of caution.....scrape...sand....apply new epoxy...

Gentlemen,
Is there any fix for epoxy that hasn't cured in several days other than peeling it out and trying again? I must have gotten the mixture wrong. . . . the front side is hard as a rock, but the back side is still spongy . . (front and back were done on separate days. . )
