agreed...I lost my 73" QQ the same way...almost had it back but I couldnt stop the roll with rudder in the crosswind.  I flew it knife edge for what seemed like forever but every time I tried to let it go back to level it continued to roll opposite. I didn't feel the least bit confident to try to hit the field, no way i was going to do it without full control so I killed the throttle and let it hit the lake...sucks but I got all my gear back.

         Wow Joe kudo's on the ability to get her landed intact. Most fliers panic in a situation like that and dump it. Mike
