A rule like that seems that it should be approved and published by Jan 1 of the year it goes into effect. Causing competitors to purchase expensive equipment without a lot of runway is bad. Especially for those that are in the middle of spending $$$ to build their plane for next year.

There was a comment in MA by Ron Morgan (Nats Manager) that AMA is working toward DSS only for the Nats in the future. Nothing said specifically about 2010.
OTOH, after 30 or so years on 6 meters, I'm converting to DSS so as to avoid the TX impound.

I heard someone state that starting in 2010 all pilots must fly 2.4G at the Nats. I searched the discussion archives and the AMA website and came up empty.
Is there any truth to this?
