Come on Matt!  Those of us who abuse landing gear and other airplane  
parts which can, and often do, come into contact with that hard  
surface called the runway, can use something "so simple, anyone with  
some building aptitude can do it.".  BTW, were you talking about  
landing gear or wheel pants?
