Seriously, the way the Bolly wheel pants fit onto the gear legs is nice. I mount EVERYTHING (wheel + wheel pant) with one screw and one blind nut now. That's the nice part about the Bolly stuff. And it's fairly light. It doesn't seem like they addressed the "wide body" trend however. After you cut them in half so that you can spread them out, sometimes there's VERY little surface area on the mounting area. Not good. I'm sure most guys would like to see a little more meat on the fuse end of the gear legs. On second thought, take a look at the mounting scheme used on a Prestige landing gear. Make something like that.

That is great news!  

I for one would like to see gear/pants set designed for current pattern use. 
It would be cool and worth some extra cost to me for the pant's mount to be
incorporated into the gear strut and pant and designed to allow for use of a
standard light axle (ala central hobbies) and light foam wheel.  

Having a short and long version would be nice for appropriate prop clearance,
and having a base wide enough to allow mounting without splitting the gear apart
might add durability (you guys are the material science masters, though). 

It should be weightless and indestructible, too<G>
