[NSRCA-discussion] Happy New Year

I've been here cringing, waiting for John Fuqua to comment on my
experience with the OPS Super 60. So, I decided to write about it
before he does. Worst $#@! engine I ever had. I couldn't get it to
come up from idle. Ended up putting a Super Tigre carburetor on it.
Even so, it would quit going up from idle when the airplane was
inverted. It quit so many times on the low, inverted part of the
Square Horizontal 8 that I developed a routine for it. I'd 1/4 roll
the airplane to knife edge and pull full up to get back to the
runway. That worked all the time until we were at a contest in Baton
Rouge. The engine quit as usual and, for some reason, instead of
doing the 1/4 roll, I just pulled full up - straight into the
ground! There, now Fuqua can't bring it up.
