Tony..I have been using a 7 second delay in a mod to the MK2 version I have
been doing for a couple of years now.
The original pushbutton is used as a reset anytime during the delay. No
other switches or buttons..just a small green LED below the button is on
during the delay and goes out when the driver comes on. Some of the local
guys have been using these drivers with success but in the end I think 7
seconds may be a bit too long but I decided to leave it that way because the
driver is so easy to reset.

Mark:
What we would normally install is the delay circuit and a reset switch. I
just checked and the reset switch is included in the $18.50 cost, HOWEVER,
we have not found a small enough switch to put in the MK3 unit for the
reset. It is not a problem on the MK2.
The reset switch would basically cut the main power to the unit, allowing it
to reset so you can start over. So the procedure would be that if the
engine didn't start for some reason, you would set the electric starter
down, then press the reset button. When you are ready to try again, press
the start button, spin up the engine with the starter, and it will ignite in
about 4 seconds.

Excellent on all counts. Personally I think that's about perfect. Will it
reset if it's pushed again?
The problem I'll run into is hitting the switch (I currently just hit the
button after spinning the prop..not the safest) and go. But if the engine
pops.and then quits, I need to wait a full minute for the glow to die before
I can try again. Being able to rehit the button and get a new 4 sec delay
would be ideal (for me).

We have been playing with 3-5 seconds. What we have settled on is 4
seconds. This is not adjustable, however, we are open to suggestions if you
think the time is too long or too short. We can even make it a custom time
for an individual.
In the MK2 version (orange box) we can also install a switch so that you can
turn off the delay if you like. That will cost a little more, but if it is
a feature customers want, we can provide it.

Awesome Tony,
How long is the delay? Adjustable? Reset-able?

with the delay already built in.
