I would also recommend the glow igniter that Tony sells at Radio South with the delay.  My motor really doesn't like to have the plug hot before spinning it!  (it's very possible to damage the motor doing this!)

I'm in the process of getting back into pattern after about a 5+ year absence and I'm looking for a powerfull/ compact starter that can turn a YS170.
 
Any thoughts?
