I don't know how many are interested in a combination servo/
transmitter tester/tachometer, but I've been checking out a GWS
Multiple Tester lately and am very impressed with the number of
features and the accuracy of the unit. You can look at it here:
http://www.gwsus.com/english/product/auxcircuit/mt-01.htm
It has a number of ways to check out servos. You can put it in a
manual mode, which enables you to increment servo motion in 10 ms
steps, so you can take it from 1500 ms (center) all the way to either
1000 ms or 2000 ms (50 steps either side of center). You can also
put it in an automatic mode and it will swing back and forth from
1000 ms to 2000 ms continuously. In another mode, you can start at
center, take it to 1000 or 2000 ms and back again to check centering
of the servo.
It also has a tachometer capability, which I haven't used and another
mode which I also haven't used yet that enables you to look at the
transmitter signal by looking at what the receiver is seeing.
I got my unit from BP Hobbies, where the standard price is listed at
$25!
Yes, it does work with digital servos, at least the Futaba and
Bluebird digital servos I've tried.
