Yep. The type used for electrical (metal wires, etc.) has a different curing
agent which won't corrode the metal it comes in contact. HD may carry both -
I don't know. I used to use it extensively in electronics. We also had a big
expensive product recall before we found out the difference - a year later.

Is there a difference between electrical silicone and regular silicone (Home
Depot)? It will be on metal connectors.

If the wires are insulated then either would be OK. If there is ANY metal
contact then get an electrical silicone (no acid) from Radio Shack.

from one another, what would I use... clear silicone or RTV?
