I still have a Challenge IV with an OS.61RE/Hatori. Used ti fly it on 10% and it was still pretty fast. Drug it out last year and ran some 25% through it.
Scary.

Wait until you see pics from the Tangerine this year. better yet, COME DOWN if you can! Looks like it's going to be HUGE from the initial reports. We're doing AMA, SPA and BPA pattern. I'm sure you know what the AMA and SPA are but the BPA is something pretty cool too....it's a class using the planes from the late 70s, 80s and early 90s. 1.2 ci engine limit, 72" size limit, and anything goes. pipes, retracts etc. I know of at leats 3 people that will have Auroras, and other planes like UFOs, Curares, Atlantas, etc. gear up and on the pipe!!!

This is going to be FUN!!!!!

Noticed two things in this month's issue. 1- A great shot of our own Jeremy Chinn's "Kudzu" in the Nats photo section 2- The back cover ad from Horizon for a control line plane! One of the ad's sales pointsis "remember the days of control line in schoolyards". I can remember in the late '50s when I was in grade school my Dad taking me up to my school's playground to teach me to fly. He had been an active control line flyer when I was a really little guy...ignition...I still havesome of his engines, control handle, etc. Anyway, I had absolutely no "feel" for it. He would start it whileI was out in the center of the circle with the handle. He would release the plane when I was ready and run as fast as he could for me to try to coach me. He never made it... :-( A few years later I flew at the Cox control line circle at Disneyland. I think it was 1960. There is some 8mm movie film my Dad took ofme that I watched at my mother's about two years ago or so when she passed away. The ad is right...It does bring back memories...JLK_______________________________________________NSRCA-discussion mailing listNSRCA-discussion at lists.nsrca.orghttp://lists.nsrca.org/mailman/listinfo/nsrca-discussionE-mail message checked by Spyware Doctor (6.0.0.386)Database version: 5.11010http://www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor-antivirus/
