I agree with Bob, ESPECIALLY with NiMH packs. You have to "form" them 
slowly, and that means 3-5 cycles at C/10. Slow discharge as well. if you 
don't you will never get the capacity it's rated for, and sometimes ruin a 
cell in the process. Some cells are more finicky this way than others....
