Its all in the math. A wheel type is always linear while an arm isn't. If
you look at it carefully: If the arm is at center then a 5 deg movement will
result in a greater change than if it started at 40 deg and had a 5 degree
movement. A wheel, however, will always have the same movement regardless of
the starting point.
Does it make a difference? Not for most folks.
