I have a 12FG in a Beryl which is not carbon fiber. I just velcro'd the rx
to the inside of the fuse and taped the antennas at the reccomended 90
degree angle. I have had no issues so far. I have tried 3 Rx's the 14
channel that came with it and 2 - 7 channel rx's. Lots of range in the
range check mode. Way more than required.

I think the recommendation from Futaba is run the antennas external if the
fuselage is CF. I think that is what the glider guys with high CF composite
structures are doing. I have no personal experience with the FASST system
in CF fuselages.

I recently bought a Futaba 12 FG with the 2.4 stuff. Does anyone know if I
can leave the dual antenaes in the fuse? Both my planes are Aeroslave Aries,
one is CF fuse. Of course I will range check but just checking if I need to
drill a couple of tiny holes for the antenaes. These are 14 channel rxs
