[NSRCA-discussion] O-Ring for Hatori Short Pipe

I bought 9464K67 from McMaster

 

Viton O-Ring, 5/8 x 7/8 (Actual 0.609 I.D. and 0.887 O.D.) 

 

They are somewhat harder than the original, but the size seems perfect.

 

I’m using it now, but only have about 10 flights on it.  So far so good, no
evidence of leaks at all.  These also fit the MK tailwheel hub nicely..:)

 

We looked up the metric ones, but I did not think any of the metric dims
were close enough…Let us know how the metrics work out for you.

I just ordered some of these from McMaster Carr.  I should have them
tomorrow.
Maybe someone can comment if these are the ones to use.

Subject: [NSRCA-discussion] O-Ring for Hatori Short Pipe

Can someone direct me to a source (or several) for replacement o-rings to
connect the Hatori 821 short pipe to the Hatori 822 header?  Central is out
of the authentic Hatori O-rings and won’t have more for a while.  Is there
another source, or a suitable replacement available?
