Jim that's a good story. You've got to admit that there's just something special about flying a good pattern plane. To me it's like a dope addiction. Glad to hear that you have a feel for it again, Mike

Thanks Emory. I flew my Abbra for the first time in almost 7 months.
It hadn't left the cradle since return from the December Tangerine. The
only reason I took it off the cradle was because someone wanted to buy
it. The buyer should have just drove away from my house with it,
instead of insisting on flying it. So, I took it off, flew by, 1/2
reverse Cuban, and said, "... sorry, plane is no longer for sale. Flys
too good." I was totally amazed - not a click of trim. It was still in
trim. Motor ran awesome. I flew P05 and F07 stuff & a knife-loop for
good measure, since those were the only patterns in my case. It was a
lot of fun, again. I expected to be behind the plane after flying a lot
of IMAC (slower) flying planes, but that went away after the first
flight. You'll see me around again.

Thanks,
Jim

Hey Jim,

It went pretty well. We had 28 pilots total with some really close
competition. It was very hot, near 100 degrees, but fortunately wasn't
humid. Winds were light and varied. Sorry the Miami crew couldn't make
it up.
