No thanks from this old masters flyer!
I don't want a trophy for finishing 5'th, nor do I want a trophy for being
old!

A variation on this is to add additional awards by age category like at this
year's NATS i.e. highest placing JR, SR, etc. by class at local meets.

It would be best for the masters pilot who is at the bottom of the pack
to STAY in Masters.. Moving back will not help that pilot advance.
Moving back to a lower class
.We have that situation covered for a pilot that has been out of flying and
wants to get back into it but not for one who just wants to win in a lower
class. Win but win with the BEST you can do..
IF they flew and advanced they should continue on that path
Masters group- CDs should add an extra award.. Fourth and Fifth place.
something to think about.
.
Boredom in a lower class --------- we will lose that pilot

Its nice we have a problem with TO MANY pilots in Masters. A sign something
is working here.

I would like to see the guys that are stuck at the bottom of their
respective classes have an easier time going back a class. The main reason
we have so many
Masters flyers is we advanced guys thru the system before they were ready to
compete due to a lack of competition. It's sad to see guys hit a brick wall
and end up quiting the sport due to frustration.
I like the idea that I can fly Fai or Masters based on my own volition. In
the midwest we always have large fields in Masters and it's pretty hard to
beat the field.
