[NSRCA-discussion] RC REPORT

There have been a few publications though out my various interests that would give unbiased reports on products and most of those accepted no outside advertising. Those publications were expensive to the consumer and they were short lived.

This is really tragic. I really liked the way RC Report wrote "honest broker" reviews and told us exactly what they thought about products, the bad, as well as they good.

I think it is mainly the advertising problem. With the economy in the state it is in, and I know the hobby shops and mail order houses are really having a tough time right now.. I suspect quite a few will go under over the next 12 months.

Maybe Gordon should poll the readership to see if they'd pay a substantially higher subscription fee -- I would.

Tony, I look forward to reading your column every issue and will miss it.

I just got word from RC REPORT Owner and editor Gordon Banks that the March 2009 issue of RC REPORT will be its final issue. Due to the huge amount of advertiser cut-backs, they just couldn't continue.

I have enjoyed writing for them, and I am sure that many of you will hate to hear about their demise. RC MODELER, and now RC REPORT.
