Jim,
 I guess the real question is how much gear do you want to haul? Do you want to squeeze in alone with your pattern bird or do you want some real room?
Still have any IMAC planes hanging around?

Anthony

Took the words right out of my mouth. A Caravan makes a great "aircraft carrier"! The money you save on the purchase of a mini van vs. an econo box will buy a LOT of gasoline.

Look at a 04 or so Scaryvan, My wife has one (Had 5 total 1993-2004) it gets great mpg (24-26) and can haul several 2x2 and field support equipment plus you'll have about $13,000 left over for more planes.--- On Mon, 8/11/08, Woodward, Jim (US SSA) <jim.woodward at baesystems.com> wrote:

Hi Guys,

I commute about 75 miles a day, then do about 100 miles of driving a weekend for practice so I am on the road a lot. I am thinking to down sizing one of my cars. At this point, I’m thinking about these three:

Scion XB, 28, hwy mileage
Honda Fit, 34, hwy mileage
Chevy HHR, 30 , hwy mileage
$ these around $16,000

Here is a nice website that allows you to do car by car comparisons. http://scionbuyersguide.theautochannel.com/compare_details.php?car1=21667&car2=22687&car3=22711&car4=

OR – is something like the Dodge Grand Caravan the way do go, and that is the biggest bang for the buck?

Any ideas would be great.

Thanks,

Jim
